My 23-day journey kicked off in the Bay Area, whereafter I took a big ass SUV for a magical 4869km road trip in 12 days.
Magical is actually a huge understatement!
In just 8 days I have visited Yosemite, Sequoia, Death Valley, Las Vegas, Zion, Bryce, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon.
Witnessing such varied beauty of the many completely different National Parks was rather unhealthy for the mind, it was at many moments just overwhelming.
Overwhelming in a good way though, in a feeling-unbelievably-grateful way.

Freedom.
That is how I would explain my trip in just one word.
Driving on these never-ending roads passing so many breathtaking landscapes, walking around in these National Parks being one with nature.
Yes, this is absolute freedom.
I invite you to have a look at some of my photos of my road trip. Enjoy!

Casually chilling on a rock next to 181 meter high Nevada waterfall.
Yosemite National Park

Wildlife all around.
Yosemite National Park

When I tell you that those Sequoias are big, they are HUGE.
Sequoia National Park

Believe it or not, this is SALT.
Death Valley National Park

Badwater Basin, hottest place on Earth, 57°C.
Death Valley National Park

Phenomenal sunrise at Zabriskie Point.
Death Valley National Park

Unbelievable view at Canyon Overlook.
Zion National Park

On the hike to Canyon Overlook.
Zion National Park

In between all these magnificent hoodoos, you can spot Thor's Hammer.
Bryce National Park

Cold it was hiking down here, -15°C. But absolutely worth it!
Bryce National Park

It is very mystical how Mother Nature created these enormous peculiar formations
in the middle of a huge stretched out valley.
Monument Valley

This homeless dog suddenly appeared when I was driving around in the valley,
was this close to take him home!
Monument Valley

The beast that drove me around all of these beautiful places.
Monument Valley

First time seeing the canyon just blows your mind, overwhelmingly beautiful.
Grand Canyon

My last sunset of the beautiful National Park series.
After the sun had set, I took a blanket, laid on a rock and stargazed a clear starry sky accompanied by a gigantic, fat milky way. Goose bumps!

Did you know that for this 8-day solo road trip, I have spent less than 800€ including rental car, gas, overnight stays, National Park entry frees and food?
I am happy to assist you in planning your America road trip!
